EVE AND THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT
Edition Size: Unique

Adam and Eve, naked and unashamed, were created by God in the Garden of Eden. All their needs were fulfilled, as they could take fruit from all of the trees save one—the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God told them that if they ate the fruit of that tree, they would die. The wily serpent persuaded Eve that she should taste the fruit for it was delicious and she would not die. Eve tasted the fruit and handed it to Adam. And when both had tasted the fruit, their eyes were opened and they could see that they were naked and felt ashamed. And thus began their banishment from Eden. This piece depicts Eve as she hands the bronze apple she tasted to Adam. She is yet unaware of the sin she had committed.
