"The theme of landscape has been glorified by poets, writers, painters, and photographers – but not by sculptors - during the ages. Yet for me it is the source of inspiration and my favorite model, much like the human or animal figure is for other artists.
I am especially interested in environments full of trees. Such landscapes become an oasis of beauty and harmony, as well as a refuge from overwhelming invasions of industrial mass production, trash and anti-art."
Living close to the nature I observe mainly trees, rocks, buildings etc. These basic elements of landscape as seen from the distance, are merging together to create unique objects. My sculptures of landscape are visions of these objects. First I make drawings directly from the motifs, and complete my creations in the studio."
