Through observation and art, we become present, and allow the sacred to influence us. We rediscover our spirit that is journeying this moment, in this world. We are in essence all things in the universe, and in conscious observation of the authentic and wild nature and life, our art records, and illuminates that connection, both to the artist and the viewer.
In painting an animal or a mountain, one paints oneself as the animal or mountain. There is no division from us and the world we live in. This is the wisdom of the wild. Every thing is equally important. Where light and shadows make a pattern, our heart will respond and inspire us. This is because art comes from the source, the fire within, the sacred, a deep river flowing outward, constantly creating that which we seek to understand.
There is a unique mark that can only come from each person, a way of seeing the world through each ones perspective. Like fingerprints, It can be no one else's. The artist's role is to evolve inwardly, by constantly reevaluating these connections, then we can be of purpose to an ever-changing world. Art has always been a way to bring what is sacred to us, empower and guide us, as well as enlighten our darkest fears.
Our primary reason for embracing art is to help us be connected intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually to the present day culture we live in. Art is a gateway to see what is in the void, the spaces between the notes, the song of the gods and goddesses.
