The Grand Rapids, Michigan, Police Department, commissioned a unique design of an officer rendering a military salute as their Memorial to the fallen officer. The bronze sculpture is positioned in such a way that he is saluting facing a full wall-sized mirror so visitors are met by the salute as they walk in and everyone already in the room can view both the rear and front sides of the sculpture at one time.
