"LOOK AND YOU WILL FIND IT"
Material: Bronze
This piece has an extended title that is a quote from Sophocles. "Look and you will find it – What is unsought will go undetected." When I first began this piece I envisioned a sea of downcast figures with one looking up. After I had created six it seemed like enough.
The original work was in ceramic and won the first award in sculpture at the Minnesota State Fair.
I had many interested buyers and proposed to make another one and cast it in bronze. I had two buyers willing to invest in the idea and so I was able to create the work in bronze.
I was forced to remake it in clay because the original would have been ruined by the molding process. I sold the original to the first bidder from the state fair.
