This piece was created for a show with an Irish theme. Each snake is inscribed with the initials of a different Northern Irish paramilitary organization. They form a Celtic knot in the center of which is a glass egg.

These are the snakes that weren't driven out of Ireland and the egg represents the fragile seed, the potential for peace and happiness, that depends on the balance of power between the snakes.
