This stone piece titled, Job's Torment, depicts the wealthy, biblical Job in his moment of deepest anguish. In an attempt to disprove Job's love for God, the devil had taken everything away from him—livestock, land, sons and daughters. Despite all his suffering, Job never lost his faith in God and continued to praise Him.
For his continued faith, God reversed the devil's evil work, returning his family and possessions.
This piece awarded best sculpture, Minnesota State Fair 2006.
