Nicholas Legeros was born in Minneapolis, MN in 1955. He was the second son of George and Connie Legeros and attended Edina Public Schools. Nick began college at the University of Minnesota but transfer to Gustavus Adolphus College to study sculpture with Paul Granlund. It was through Granlund's teaching and mentorship that Nick learned not just how to make sculpture but how to make it a career. After completing a Masters of Fine Arts program at the University of Minnesota Nick began teaching at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts where he became an Artist-In-Residence. After twenty years of teaching Nick left the Art Center to pursue a full time career as a sculptor. He purchased a building in Northeast Minneapolis in 2002, renovated and installed a foundry and recently completed a large fountain project for Lifetouch Inc.
